Who is responsible for processing my personal data?
We are Nuits.nl (hereinafter also: “Nuits”), the party responsible for making the nuits.nl website available and the associated processing of personal data.

What does that mean for me?
We comply with applicable privacy legislation in all our processing of personal data. This means, among other things, that we:

• We clearly define our purposes for processing personal data. We do this, for example, through this privacy and cookie statement;
• Store as little personal data as possible and limit our processing of your data as much as possible to what is necessary for the service you wish to receive from us;

What options do I have?

What exactly is personal data?
Any information that reveals something about who you are and what you do or have done is considered personal data. This includes, for example, your name, address, telephone number, and email address. Unique numbers or identifiers that can identify you, such as your customer number, IP address, or cookie ID, are also considered personal data. This is also called pseudonymous personal data because the number or identifier can be considered a pseudonym (a pseudonym). Your order history and browsing behavior on our website are also considered personal data if they can be traced back to you as an individual.

To protect your privacy, we may also (partially) anonymize your browsing activity on our site by removing all data that could identify you. If it is (practically) impossible to determine who the data is about, it is no longer considered personal data.

We store your data as much as possible within the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), which consists of the EU member states plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. The computers (servers) used to provide our website are located in the EU and are managed by companies also based in the EU.

These companies may be part of a multinational organization with headquarters or sister offices outside the EEA. Salesforce complies with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and has binding corporate rules and standard contractual clauses (SCCs) in place to protect personal data. We monitor compliance with these rules.

Several of our marketing partners are located in the US. When you consent to marketing cookies or similar processing, you also consent to the transfer of personal data to the US. This primarily concerns data such as cookie IDs and information about your online behavior. We ensure that all transfers comply with applicable privacy regulations.

The EU-US Data Privacy Framework came into effect in July 2023. This framework stipulates that US companies may receive personal data from the EU provided they are certified. While we comply with this framework, we remain vigilant regarding legal developments that could impact the protection of personal data. Should any changes occur, we will ensure your data remains protected or we will stop the transfer to the US.

We and our partners take additional measures, such as pseudonymization and IP masking, to protect your data as effectively as possible. By not consenting to cookies or statistics, you prevent personal data from being transferred to the US.

How is my data secured?

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use. These include:

Access to personal data is secured with a username and password. Passwords are stored as an encrypted hash;

The use of secure connections (HTTPS, SSL/TLS) for exchanging data;

Maintaining access logs to gain insight into the processing of personal data.

What rights do I have in relation to my personal data?

You have the following rights:

Right to access your personal data;

Right to correct incorrect data or delete irrelevant data;

Right to an overview of the data we process in a common format.
